The project will consist of a new overpass over the QEII Highway; new on-off ramps from the QEII Highway; improvements to some existing ramps; intersection improvements at 65 Avenue and 50 Street in Leduc; and, completion of Perimeter Road and 65 Avenue, west of the QEII Highway.Responsibilities:
- Be able to comprehend blueprint readings and prepare layouts
- Understand industrial concrete forming, be able to build concrete forms, and other structures
- Look for, and fix deficiencies
- Checks accuracy of work, and makes adjustments as required
- Studies blueprints for work planning
- Constructs and forms chutes for pouring concrete
- Erects scaffolding, and ladders for assembling structures above ground level
- Informs immediate supervisor of abnormalities or defects and/or takes appropriate measures
- Preference will be given to a Journeyman Carpenter Ticket from a recognized provincial training authority or be a Registered Carpenter Apprentice
- Non-ticketed carpenters must provide proof of hours relevant to the industrial Carpentry trade
- CSTS 2020 & WHMIS Certifications
- Fall Protection is an asset
- Ability to coach, mentor, and train apprentices
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Describe and point out safety compliance and regulatory issues
- Reliable transportation
