
Mechanic - Airdrie

- Actively participate in the maintenance and repair activities of various vehicles within the transportation fleet.
- Diagnose and perform accurately all phases of vehicle and equipment service and repair under minimal supervision.
- Repairs include brakes, engine tune-ups, suspensions, drive trains, transmission clutches and other repairs.
- Remove, overhaul and reinstall mechanical components with minimal supervision.
- Lead preventative maintenance (PMs), safety inspections and annual maintenance inspections.
- Work on fuel injection, hydraulics, and electronics.
- Ensure work orders are completed properly and accurately. Maintain records of all maintenance work completed including parts and supplies used.
- Clean, lubricate, and conduct routine maintenance on equipment.
- Notify supervisor of potentially dangerous equipment and corrective action taken.
- Evaluate completed work prior to release and seek approval where required.
- Lead road calls and emergency services as necessary.
- Moves vehicles safely between job and work area.
- Adhere to Transdev's standards, policies and procedures.
- Perform other responsibilities as requested or required.
- Competitive hourly wage of $45–$49, based on level of experience.

- You possess a Red Seal Ticket (Or Equivalent) on Heavy Equipment Technician OR Truck & Transport Technician.
- You hold a high school diploma or GED required.
- You hold valid Class 5 driver’s license (required), air endorsement required.
- You have an appropriate mechanic’s tool set.
- You hold an AB, Vehicle Inspection certification (or willing to acquire).
- You adhere to provincial CVSE standards and the Federal Motor Vehicle Act.
- You have advanced problem-solving abilities.
- You possess advanced computer skills.
- You have the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- You are able to work assigned shifts.
- This is a non-unionized position, in Airdrie, AB.
- There is a requirement to work Monday- Friday 40 hours per week, some callouts may be required.
