Mechanic - Airdrie

• Actively participate in the maintenance and repair activities of various vehicles within the transportation fleet.
• Diagnose and perform accurately all phases of vehicle and equipment service and repair under minimal supervision.
• Repairs include brakes, engine tune-ups, suspensions, drive trains, transmission clutches and other repairs.
• Remove, overhaul and reinstall mechanical components with minimal supervision.
• Lead preventative maintenance (PMs), safety inspections and annual maintenance inspections.
• Work on fuel injection, hydraulics, and electronics.
• Ensure work orders are completed properly and accurately. Maintain records of all maintenance work completed including parts and supplies used.
• Clean, lubricate, and conduct routine maintenance on equipment.
• Notify supervisor of potentially dangerous equipment and corrective action taken.
• Evaluate completed work prior to release and seek approval where required.
• Lead road calls and emergency services as necessary.
• Moves vehicles safely between job and work area.
• Adhere to Transdev's standards, policies and procedures.
• Perform other responsibilities as requested or required.

• You possess a Red Seal Ticket (Or Equivalent) on Heavy Equipment Technician OR Truck & Transport Technician.
• You hold a high school diploma or GED required.
• You hold valid Class 5 driver’s license (required), air endorsement required.
• You have an appropriate mechanic’s tool set.

• You hold an AB, Vehicle Inspection certification (or willing to acquire).
• You adhere to provincial CVSE standards and the Federal Motor Vehicle Act.
• You have advanced problem-solving abilities.
• You possess advanced computer skills.
• You have the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
• You are able to work assigned shifts.

• This is a non-unionized position, in Airdrie, AB.
• There is a requirement to work Monday- Friday 40 hours per week, some callouts may be required.
