High school or GED Diploma Candidate must have in-depth experience with Windows PCs and proficient in the use of a multi-monitor computer workstation with the ability to quickly enter and manage a real-time data entry database. In-depth knowledge of the Toronto geography and roadway network. Skills in interpersonal relationships and ability to work well within a diverse group. Confidence to use freeway management and other traffic control computer application and technologies such as cameras, variable message signs, sensors, and control devices. Be self-motivated with the use of these systems to maintain a situational awareness on the City's entire road network. Previous experience of writing reports, and correspondence will be considered an asset, although support and development will be offered to all successful applicants on this topic Ability to coordinate real time activities and stay calm in the face of conflicting priorities. Confident to take calls, dispatch on a radio or telephone and otherwise communicate in a clear and concise manner.
