- Install, demonstrate, maintain and repair marking, coding and labeling equipment
- Train customer operators and maintenance personnel
- Troubleshoot mechanical/electro-mechanical system
- Assess customer needs and recommend solutions to optimize their processes
- Share and exchange solutions with other service technicians and sales managers
- Keep current on all company products by attending training sessions (onsite/offsite)
- Support administrative or remote technical tasks when not in the field
- 7+ years of experience in field service or technical support, ideally within the packaging, automation, or manufacturing equipment industry
- Diploma or degree in Electromechanical Automation or a related field
- Strong knowledge of PLCs, HMIs, Allen Bradley, and Siemens
- Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office; ERP experience a plus
- Valid driver’s license, reliable vehicle, and ability to travel throughout Canada and the U.S. (by car or air)
- Willingness to obtain and maintain PMMI certification (cost covered by the company)
- The regular workweek is forty (40) hours. However, that number of hours may be exceeded and spread out from Monday to Sunday, depending on customer demand and emergencies.
