Wash Plant Labourer

- Perform daily inspections, preventative maintenance, and repairs on wash plant equipment, including screens, conveyors, pumps, and water systems.
- Assist in troubleshooting and fixing mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems
- Keep work areas, including the wash plant, yard and shop clean and organized
- Operate heavy and light equipment to assist with plant operations and maintenance
- Monitor plant performance, report issues, and help with adjustments to optimize production
- Replace worn parts, belts, bearings, and other components as required
- Ensure compliance with company safety policies, environmental regulations, and lock-out/tag-out procedures
- General cleaning and maintenance of the plant and yard
- Work as a team player
- Other duties as required
- Experience in aggregates, mining or construction industries preferred
- Basic mechanical aptitude; ability to use hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment
- Welding experience an asset
- Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions and handle physically demanding tasks
- Valid class 5 driver's license and own reliable transportation
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent hand/eye coordination
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
- Flexibility in work schedule (early mornings, days, evenings)
- Exposure to dust, noise, water and changing weather conditions
- Requires lifting up to 50lbs, climbing ladders, standing for extended periods of time, and working at heights
