Client Location: Toronto (Onsite/Hybrid: 7.25 hours/day between 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM, Monday to Friday)

Conditions may change based on organizational requirements and at the discretion of the Hiring Manager.About the EngagementAkkodis is seeking an experienced Senior Business Analyst to support multiple high-priority initiatives within a complex Public Service environment. These workstreams include Duty to Consult, Enterprise Permitting modernization, and emerging AI proof-of-concepts. The BA will play a critical role in enabling effective requirements discovery, cross-program coordination, and integration between technical and business partners.ScopeEliciting, validating, and documenting business and technical requirements across diverse stakeholder groupsDeveloping business processes, workflows, and future-state recommendationsSupporting impact assessments, options analysis, and solution scopingMaintaining traceability, backlog definition, and sprint-ready user stories.Assignment DeliverablesRequirements documentation, business workflows, process maps, and future-state recommendationsImpact assessments, business rules, use cases, and user storiesBacklog items prepared for Agile sprint planningStakeholder engagement materials and progress reporting.Expertise RequiredMust Have:Proven experience defining and clarifying business and technical requirements, ensuring user stories are unambiguous, well-defined, and ready for development.Strong capability to bridge communication between the Product Owner and development teams, ensuring alignment and clarity throughout delivery.Hands-on experience supporting backlog refinement, task prioritization, and preparing sprint-ready artifacts.Nice to Have:Experience with information retrieval packagesStrong understanding of Information Management principles and practices.Security ClearanceRequired.ImportantThis is a business-to-business engagement.
