Job Category: EngineeringJob Description:The Opportunity:WSP is currently looking for a Project Engineer to join our Rail and Transit department, located at one of our client offices in Toronto.   • You will guide projects seamlessly through every phase.
  • You will collaborate with dynamic project teams to define concepts and scope that support both client needs and strategic goals.
  • You will develop comprehensive work plans, including contract phases, budget allocations, and meticulous scheduling.
  • You will review engineering work plans to ensure precise alignment with scope, budget, and schedule.
  • You will oversee the preparation of technical specifications and detailed drawings.
  • You will prepare Board Reports and coordinate essential inputs from other departments.
  • You will provide engineering expertise throughout construction phases, ensuring full compliance with project requirements.
  • You will prepare concise project summaries.
  • You will handle other related responsibilities as required.
What you'll bring to WSP:
  • A bachelor's degree in Engineering or related discipline.
  • Professional Engineer License (or Architect) in the Province of Ontario (P.Eng.) (or be eligible to obtain).
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is an asset.
  • Minimum 5 years of work experience in a similar capacity preferred.
  • Experience with construction drawings, site work, construction quality control, and reporting.
  • Engineering knowledge in one or more disciplines and you will be required to perform monitoring and auditing across multiple disciplines with the support of discipline leads.
  • Strong interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills including technical report writing skills.
