- Assist in the preparation of design plans, reports, and technical specifications.
- Use relevant software (AutoCAD, Civil 3D, etc.) to draft designs and generate reports.
- Perform technical calculations and analyses to support civil engineering designs.
- Review project plans and design documentation for accuracy and compliance with applicable codes and standards.
- Provide technical assistance and support to engineers and project teams.
- Participate in site assessments and inspections.
- Monitors and documents conformance with quality, performance, safety, and/or code requirements.
- Activities may include assisting with engineering calculations, setting up and operating equipment, inspecting equipment and engineering installations for compliance with specifications and maintaining project documentation.
- General understanding of procedures, company policies to achieve set results and deadlines.
- Prepare and maintain project records, drawings, and documentation.
- Coordinate with clients, stakeholders, and contractors during project execution.
- Diploma in Civil Engineering Technology or a related field
- 2 + years of experience
- Proficiency in civil engineering software (AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Microsoft Office).
- Strong knowledge of civil engineering principles, design, and construction practices.
- Ability to perform technical calculations and work with engineering drawings.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Certification as an Engineering Technologist (CET) or equivalent is an asset.
- Previous experience as a Civil Technician, ideally in a consulting or infrastructure development setting.
- Experience with site design, grading, and drainage.
- Knowledge of relevant local and national codes and standards.
- Familiarity with project management and construction procedures.
- Experience with GIS and other design tools is a plus.
- Bilingual (English & French) is an asset
