Date Posted: 2021-04-28-07:00Country: CanadaLocation: LOC13049 1400 South Service Road West,Oakville,Ontario,L6L 5Y7,CanadaReporting to the Manager, Manufacturing Engineering, as the Manufacturing Methods Engineer, you will be responsible for providing component part manufacturing and processing support consistent with cell, facility, and division goals & objectives.Primary ResponsibilitiesProvide technical skill in Surface Finishing Process, Chrome area, to plan, design, set up, modify, optimize and monitor manufacturing processesMaintain continuous process improvement with safe work practices to reduce cost, improve quality and increase throughput for new and existing methodsMaintain product and company reputation by complying with EH&S and government regulations, manufacturing information and recordsProvide shop floor support and assist with Root Cause Corrective Action(s) (RCCA Process)Prepare, maintain and revise Manufacturing Process Sheet (MPS''s), Assembly Process Sheet (APS''s), in CATIA V5 and Work Order Card (W.O.C.) and rework schemes in SAPSupport and/or participate in Continues Improvements (C.I.) Events and ACE activitiesPerform other duties as assignedBasic QualificationsBachelor’s degree and 5 years of prior relevant experience ORAdvanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years experience ORIn absence of a degree, 9 years of relevant experience is requiredEngineering/Other Technical Positions: Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 5 years of prior relevant experience unless prohibited by local laws/regulations.Experience in manufacturing – Surface FinishingStrong ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manualsStrong ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, and customersPreferred QualificationsStrong ability to read, analyze, and interpret engineering drawings, general business, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulationsPrevious experience with C.I. tools with the ability to analyze and improve processes to reduce cost and improve quality would be an asset.Demonstrated strong oral and written communication skills with proven problem solving abilityDemonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and CAD software, particularly CATIA V5, system application SAPSix Sigma and/or ACE Associate training would also be considered an assetSuccessful candidate must meet all requirements under ITAR and CGDCollins Aerospace, a Raytheon Technologies company, is a leader in technologically advanced and intelligent solutions for the global aerospace and defense industry.
