Description :Interprovincial Cooperative Limited (IPCO) is hiring a Business Development Manager on a permanent basis.The IPCO facility is located in Winnipeg, MB remote candidates are encouraged to apply, provided they are able and willing to travel to Winnipeg as required. This position may require remote candidates approximately 50% travel to visit the facility, members, partners and suppliers. Candidates must be comfortable with frequent travel and able to attend in-person meetings and events when needed.Step into a high impact role where you’ll shape growth across the North American crop protection market by driving strategic partnerships, new business opportunities, and market driven production plans. As a key leader, you’ll influence strategy, guide MemberOwners, and elevate IPCO’s industry presence while maximizing plant capacity and profitability.The opportunity:Leadership & Growth
  • Lead IPCO’s growth initiatives by identifying and executing on market opportunities.
  • Develop and achieve annual sales budgets and targets (margin, profitability, market share, inventory, growth, account penetration).
  • Drive strategic planning for pricing, trademarks, product launches, and mid/long-term marketing strategy.
  • Increase revenue, margins, market share, brand awareness, and member ROI.
Collaboration & Cross Functional Work
  • Work closely with IPCO members and internal teams including Product Development, Regulatory, Production, and Quality Assurance.
  • Build strong relationships with member marketing and procurement departments.
Strategic Analysis & Recommendations
  • Support development of IPCO’s growth strategy by identifying and evaluating new product opportunities.
  • Analyze competitors and market trends to guide product development decisions.
  • Provide strategic and competitive insights that support the Agri. Products Manager and inform IPCO Board decisions on sustainable growth.
Stakeholder Engagement
  • Act as a key representative to IPCO members, privatelabel customers, suppliers, and other stakeholders.
  • Maintain high visibility in advancing growth initiatives and elevating IPCO’s overall profile.
Forecasting, Planning & Communication
  • Work with members to develop product forecasts that inform operating plans (production, costing, inventory targets, margin goals).
  • Provide regular updates to members regarding marketing programs and pricing strategies.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert to help increase business through IPCO.

  • Have 8 – 10 years of experience in sales and marketing and/or business development; acumen in financial fundamentals. Experience in Agriculture, Crop Protection Distribution or Crop Protection Manufacturing is required.
  • Have a Post secondary degree in Agriculture or Business Administration (a combination of relevant education and experience may be considered).
  • Are familiar with Manitoba Institute of Agrologists. Completion of the Certified Crop Advisor course would be an asset.
