LGM’s vision is “Responsible Mobility for all”.Reporting to the Director, Technology Operations the Technology Support Engineer supports internal customers, maintains and provisions end user hardware, software and other components as well as providing general technology support for issues that may arise.Key Responsibilities:
*Maintain the company's computer systems, software implementation, and security.
  • Ensure the proper functioning of the company’s computer systems, software, and security measures Optimizing and maintaining all end user equipment laptops, desktops, cell phones, printers, scanners, headsets) software and hardware.
*Provide L2/L3 support to Help Desk staff members for software and hardware issues.
  • Remote Troubleshooting – support of customers both in person and in remote locations via remote support tools.
*Administer the full life cycle of user accounts and group policies to include provisioning and de-provisioning of all network, mail, phone and other application accounts.
*Support internal phone system and call centre by administering phone system.
*Responsible for keeping asset records and maintaining Asset list.
*Working on various projects such as hardware refreshes, software rollouts, etc.
*Ensure data protection and recoverability for all required systems.
*Monitor systems daily and respond quickly to any security breaches or usability concerns.
*Provide 24/7 on-call support for system availability.
*Create and maintain technical documentation of critical process and procedures.
*Assist in integrating new applications and technologies into the current environment.
*Be the on-site contact for the Vancouver Office for any technology vendor requirements.Required Skills:
*Experience with latest Windows OS and Active Directory.
*Excellent written, interpersonal, and verbal communication skills, with a focus on documentation and training material.
*Proficiency with Office 365 Administration.
*Experience with all current Microsoft operating systems, including, installation, configuration, management, and automated deployment.
*Experience working as part of a help desk team.
*Experience working with Cloud based phone systems (8x8 preferred).
*Knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, VPN, remote access, and network protocols.
  • Experience using deployment tools such as Intune, Autopilot and Windows deployment
Education:
  • Bachelor's degree/Diploma in Technical field or additional experience.
Experience:
  • 2+ years of experience supporting virtualization, servers, and network storage.
  • 3+ years of experience supporting desktops and applications in a corporate IT environment
