- Conducting thorough quantity take-offs to ensure prompt and accurate estimates, proposals, and bid documents.
- Adhering strictly to the tendering process and establishing comprehensive cost monitoring reporting systems and procedures.
- Generating Requests for Information (RFIs) to the Client/Engineer of Record regarding construction package scope elements. Taking the lead in responding to and closing associated RFIs.
- Collecting quotes from various subcontractors and suppliers and integrating them into competitive bids.
- Acting as the main point of contact for clients throughout the bidding process.
- Debriefing with the Chief Estimator after the award of contracts/jobs to discuss quoted material.
- Participating in presenting estimates/proposals to senior management.
- Participating in project development activities, including scope definition and clarification, pre-construction planning, and control estimate development.
- Following through on awarded contracts, estimating extra work and change orders.
- Administering contracts, including preparing contracts and purchase orders, tracking project costs, attending site meetings, ordering materials, client invoicing, dispute resolution, and other related project management tasks.Qualified candidates should have:- Preferably 3+ years of relevant experience in estimating.
- Experience using Bid2Win (B2W) estimation software is beneficial.
- Strong computer skills.
- Proven track record of project coordination and team collaboration.
