You will have an office type work with own desk, PC and phone number next to your colleagues. Our facility includes assembly line and engine test and rig cells.What will your day-to-day look like?
- Improve analytical method for containment analysis for Gas turbine airfoils using energy methods and FEA in Ls-Dyna.
- Develop / define and calibrate ice/hail impact or blade containment in FEA in Ansys or Ls-Dyna for static airfoil made of composite materials.
- Goal is to achieve competitive advantage by improving analytical process and reducing development cost towards certification.
Must haves:
- Be eligible to work in Canada
- Be enrolled in a Canadian university throughout your internship
- Be able to work on-site in the province where you are hired if applicable
- Pursuing a degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronic Engineering, Aerospace Engineering programs (2nd – 4th year grade student).
- Relevant Courses: Mechanics of materials / Damage in Materials, Static / Mechanics of Deformable Solids, Structure & Properties of materials.
- LS-Dyna experience
