Your Opportunity:Sylvan Lake Advanced Ambulatory Care (SLAAC) is an Advanced Ambulatory care site located 20 mins East of Red Deer in the heart of Sylvan Lake, Alberta. As a Unit clerk at SLAAC you will work collaboratively as a member of a multidisciplinary team that provides care to a number of Central Corridor patients presenting with varying acuity of injury and illness. Hours of work are 0700-2315hrs. The successful candidate will demonstrate excellent interpersonal, communication and administrative skills.Description:As a Unit Clerk, you will be responsible for the efficient flow of communication between health professionals, departments, patients and families while maintaining confidentiality of patient information. You will also be responsible for a variety of administrative tasks which may include reception, greeting and directing visitors, patients and health professionals, maintaining patient records and charts, transcribing and processing physician orders as well as scheduling patient tests and/or treatments. You will also be responsible for performing a range of administrative activities in support of the unit.

Required Qualifications:Completion of Grade 12 or equivalent. Completion of an accredited Unit Clerk Course or equivalent training program. Additional Required Qualifications:As required. Preferred Qualifications:AAC or Emergency Department experience beneficial with ASAP Connect Care training and proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and stock ordering in Oracle is desired.
