Job OverviewWe are hiring an Apprentice Carpenter to join our team in Regina, SK. The Apprentice Carpenter is responsible for assisting in the construction, installation, and repair of structures and frameworks across various construction projects. This role provides hands-on experience under the guidance of experienced carpenters, supporting both rough and finishing carpentry tasks while developing trade skills. The ideal candidate will work with building blueprints and diagrams to learn proper dimensions, shape, and design, while maintaining safety and quality standards on all job sites.Responsibilities
  • Assist with reading and interpreting blueprints and preparing basic layouts.
  • Support rough and finishing carpentry tasks while developing math and measurement skills
  • Assist in constructing, installing, and repairing structures and frameworks using wood, concrete, and other materials.
  • Help check completed work to ensure it is level, square, plumb, and meets required specifications.
  • Gain experience working on industrial construction sites and using hand and power tools.
  • Follow instructions from supervisors and work collaboratively with team members.
  • Operate basic hand tools and assist with electrical and air-powered tools under supervision.
  • Perform general construction labor tasks as required.
  • Assist with fabrication and material preparation during projects.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
  • Adhere to all safety procedures and site regulations.
  • Carry out other duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • Registered Carpenter Apprentice or willingness to register in a recognized apprenticeship program.
  • Previous construction or carpentry experience is considered an asset.
  • Basic ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics is an asset.
  • Willingness to learn and develop carpentry skills on the job.
  • Physical stamina and strength to perform repetitive tasks and lift heavy materials.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Willingness to work outdoors and in variable weather conditions.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Able to communicate clearly and effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
  • Must be fit-for-duty.
  • Must be immediately eligible/able to work in Canada.
  • Must be able to provide clean Canadian criminal record check (within 30 days of hire).
  • Must pass pre-employment drug and alcohol testing including marijuana.
  • This is an LOA based project on a 14/7 shirt rotation
