- Lead a high performing team in the delivery of complex multidisciplinary drinking water and wastewater projects.
- Demonstrate creativity, foresight and mature judgment in anticipating and solving project delivery, technical and client challenges.
- Work successfully within a team environment and communicate effectively with project team members and stakeholders.
- Lead team in the completion of design deliverables including completing technical reports, preparing technical specifications and tender documents, and reviewing design drawings.
- Lead quality reviews of deliverables including confirming conformance with project requirements and objectives, and arranging for senior engineers to review work.
- Lead permitting applications for provincial and local regulatory agencies.
- Manage services through the construction period including contract administration, site inspection, SCADA application development, testing, start-up, commissioning, and post-construction warranty.
- Work with project teams, operations, and senior leadership to promote and maintain a safe working environment.
- Monitor and control project scope, manage project schedules, identify and manage project risk, and control budgets. Work collaboratively with operations to track and achieve key financial performance metrics.
- Participate in business development activities including pursuit and proposal development for new drinking water and wastewater projects with both existing and new clients.
- Provide mentorship and guidance of early career project staff.
- Actively engage in professional development and industry events.
- Bachelor’s degree or college diploma in a relevant program, plus 6 years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
- 6+ years prior experience as a Project Manager for drinking water and wastewater projects including; treatment, pumping, storage, and related infrastructure.
- Valid Ontario driver’s license and access to a vehicle.
- 8+ years of progressive experience as a Project Manager for drinking water and wastewater projects including; treatment, pumping, storage, and related infrastructure.
- A demonstrated aptitude for technical and engineering knowledge.
- Registered as a P.Eng. or C.E.T. in the province of Ontario.
- Previous experience overseeing and coordinating all technical aspects of small to mid-size drinking water and/or wastewater projects.
- Good working knowledge of industry standards and local municipal standards and guidelines.
- Previous experience with Master Plans and Class Environmental Assessments is considered an asset.
- Previous client facing project experience is considered an asset.
