The Department of Applied Human Sciences invites applications for a 10-month term position in Foods & Nutrition to commence on August 1, 2024. This appointment is subject to final budgetary approval.The Department of Applied Human Sciences at the University of Prince Edward Island (UPEI) acknowledges that UPEI is located on the unceded land of the Mi'kmaq Nation, of the Wabanaki Confederacy, in the traditional district of Epekwitk.Qualifications:The successful candidate will have a graduate degree in Human Nutrition or related field, recent experience (within the last 7 years) working in clinical dietetics within the health care system, and eligibility for registration as a dietitian in Prince Edward Island. A completed or in-progress doctoral degree, evidence of successful undergraduate teaching, and evidence of scholarly achievement commensurate with rank would be considered assets.The department is seeking a candidate who can teach two Clinical Nutrition courses in addition to other undergraduate Foods and Nutrition courses such as Professional Practice, Introductory Nutrition or Nutritional Assessment (some courses have laboratory sessions that would be part of the teaching assignment).
