Our purpose is to bring enjoyment to people's lives through great tasting food, in a way that reflects our values.Position SummaryThis position has responsibility and accountability to support the development and implementation of regional MRO procurement strategies to support McCain Foods' North American plants, with an anticipated annual spend of about $200 million. This role reports into the North America MRO Procurement Manager and the successful candidate will develop and execute purchasing strategies and gain commitment from key stakeholders particularly in Maintenance and Reliability, Engineering, Manufacturing, Technical Services and Supply Chain. In addition, the person will support the development of global MRO Category Strategies for other regions under the guidance of the Director, Global MRO Procurement. This role will require the successful candidate to conduct contract negotiations, manage RFx processes and lead supplier relationship management including monitoring performance versus expectations.It would be preferred to have experience in:MRO Sourcing Strategy development and implementationCapital & MRO procurement processes.SAP and COUPASupplier Relationship ManagementCommunications and Interactions - The person will manage multiple internal and external organizational relationships. They will be a key contributor and executer of the overall supplier relationship strategy for spend area, ensuring proper commercial treatment of suppliers by reinforcing policy, ethics and our strategic approach with suppliers and with other company departments.Domestic and international travel will be required, 25% of time. There are also occasionally can be some international meetings/conference calls that will be outside traditional work hours.ResponsibilitiesDevelop and implement value-driven MRO category strategies on a regional and global level that are aligned to the company's objectives.Understand business requirements and demand patterns and align strategies to sameDevelop and deliver sustainable cost saving initiatives.Manage strategic sourcing processes, including RFx initiatives, evaluations, negotiations, and contract execution.Negotiate and manage contracts and supplier relationships, including the development and implementation of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) that deliver value and drive continuous improvement for McCain Foods.Develop and maintain internal stakeholder relationships including Engineering, Manufacturing, Technical Services, Maintenance and Reliability, and Supply Chain. Act as primary point of engagement and escalation.Engage plant stakeholders and Suppliers to monitor and resolve any issues at the plant level.Identify and develop improved procurement methodologies, processes, policies and procedures.Monitor compliance to McCain's Procurement Policy, sourcing strategies and support risk mitigation initiatives.Build organization capability through procurement core skills coaching and training.QualificationsEducation - Bachelor's Degree, preferably in Business or Engineering. Master's degree is an asset.Minimum 5 years' procurement experience, preferably with experience in MRO and Capital procurement.SAP and COUPA experience is an asset.Good knowledge of MS Office: Word, Excel, PowerPointMcCain Foods is an equal opportunity employer.
