- Applying your excellent customer service skills, you will promote a positive experience for donors throughout the collection process and provide information, instruction, and advice on plasma donation, ensuring that donors are engaged, and their needs are met.
- Utilizing your superior interpersonal and communication skills, you will greet and assist all plasma donors as they progress through the donation process in an engaging and positive manner.
- Leveraging your ability to communicate effectively with donors, you will conduct registration and confidential screening to determine eligibility and build and promote a positive donor experience.
- You will apply your experience and training in phlebotomy to perform venipuncture according to established standards, monitoring donors for safety and comfort, and providing post-donation care and instruction.
- Your excellent attention to detail will be utilized in ensuring accuracy of product information in our IT system, when completing the product labelling process, and when preparing products for freezing, centrifuging and shipment to our testing facilities.
- Drawing on your knowledge or experience in continuous improvement, you will contribute to the framework of continuous improvement and implementation of best practice standards with the team.
- Completion of post-secondary education in a relevant discipline from a recognized institution, preferably in science/health-related fields of study.
- Completion of an accredited training program in phlebotomy is an asset.
- Minimum 3 years of progressive experience working with the public, particularly in a high customer-focused environment.
- Basic computer skills and the ability to learn new systems and programs. Previous knowledge of Microsoft Word and Outlook are considered assets.
- Knowledge of and experience working with current Good Manufacturing Practices.
- A second language is considered an asset to support a positive donor experience.

- Shifts/hours will vary. You must be flexible to accommodate assigned shifts which are based on operational needs. Shifts include days, evenings, weekends, and statutory holidays and will follow the below rotation.
- Week 1 - Work Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday. Off Friday. Work Saturday.
- Week 2 - Off Sunday, Monday. Work Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday. Off Saturday
- Shifts will be assigned a minimum of 8 weeks in advance and will fall within the stated hours of operation.
- Physical requirements for the role include the ability to lift weight up to 10 kg (22 lbs.).
