The Manager has direct accountability for their assigned unit, the clinical operations employees working within their identified program area(s), and the corresponding programmatic requirements of the role. In conjunction with the Site Manager, the Manager is accountable for setting and executing strategic and operational priorities for the unit. Additionally, the Manager is accountable for setting and executing strategic and operational priorities related to their staff complement, including recruitment, orientation, and professional development. The Manager will coach staff and carry out discipline when required. You will ensure the effective deployment of resources, support change management, and foster a culture of continuous quality improvement. The manager provides leadership through demonstrated consistency of practice, competence as a leader, as well as commitment to the team, and to the overall purpose and vision of the portfolio, and the organization.

Required Qualifications:Completion of an accredited nursing education program - Bachelor of Science in Nursing. Current registration with the College of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CRNA). Current CPR (BCLS-HCP). Minimum 3 years within the last five years of experience in specialty area of the Emergency Room and/or the Operating Room.
Additional Required Qualifications:As Required.
Preferred Qualifications:Previous management or leadership experience within a rural healthcare environment. Previous experience in the areas of Mental Health and Addictions. Change management training such as AIW (Alberta Improvement Way) or equivalent Quality Improvement methodology (Lean, Six Sigma) training. Minimum of 2 years in a similar leadership role ideally in an organization of significant size, complexity, and diversity. Experience using Connect Care.
