Senior Role This is not a typical Construction Manager role. We are looking for someone who wants to grow beyond managing projects and step into a leadership position overseeing operations across a fast-growing real estate development company. You will lead construction across multiple multi-family projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, on budget, and at a high standard. This role is designed to evolve into a broader operations leadership position, where you will help build systems, manage teams, and drive execution across the business. Responsibilities: • Lead multiple multi-family CMHC-funded construction projects simultaneously, ensuring delivery on time, on budget, and to a high standard • Own schedules, budgets, and overall project execution across all active developments • Build and maintain strong relationships with trades, subcontractors, and suppliers—establishing reliable, scalable channels (especially in the Edmonton market) • Source and onboard high-quality trades and vendors to improve pricing, speed, and consistency • Coordinate closely with consultants, trades, and internal teams to keep projects moving efficiently • Identify risks early, solve problems quickly, and remove bottlenecks • Maintain strict quality control and delivery standards • Implement systems, reporting, and accountability structures across projects • Improve efficiency by coordinating resources and workflows across multiple sites Qualifications: What We’re Looking For: • PMP certification or equivalent experience in construction/project management • Proven ability to manage multiple multi-family projects simultaneously • Deep understanding of CCDC contracts (CCDC 2, 5A/5B), with the ability to proactively manage contract administration, risk, change orders, and project financial controls across multiple developments • Experience delivering projects on time and on budget • Strong leadership and communication skills Edmonton Market Advantage: • Established relationships with quality trades and suppliers in the Edmonton area • Ability to mobilize and manage reliable crews and vendors efficiently CMHC Experience (Strong Preference): • Experience working with CMHC MLI Select projects and requirements • Understanding of financing-driven construction constraints (timelines, reporting, compliance) Most importantly: • You take ownership — you don’t wait to be told what to do • You think in systems, not just tasks About Company: Briarstone is an institutional-grade real estate development and management firm focused on building high-performance multi-family assets across Canada.
