This role involves assembling, fabricating, and testing one-off or small-run projects using a variety of skills including metal fabrication, welding, wiring, hydraulics, and operating CNC equipment.Why Work with Us?

Education/Experience
  • Grade 12
  • Experience with welding (MIG, stick, etc.) – welding is a major asset
  • Familiarity with metal fabrication, assembly, wiring, or hydraulics
  • Prior operation of CNC plasma, press brake, or similar machinery
  • Knowledge of basic electrical/hydraulic principles
  • Experience reading blueprints or schematics
  • On-the-job training and skill development opportunities

  • Candidate must have experience in the manufacturing environment, preferably working within the agricultural industry

Accountabilities
  • Assemble mechanical and electro‑mechanical prototypes using drawings, sketches, CAD outputs, and verbal instructions.
  • Perform welding operations (various processes) to fabricate and join metal components in accordance with quality and safety standards.
  • Complete basic electrical assembly and wiring for prototypes, ensuring correct routing, connections, and functionality.
  • Assemble, test, and troubleshoot hydraulic systems, identifying and resolving leaks, pressure, or performance issues.
  • Operate CNC plasma cutting equipment to produce components to specification.
  • Set up and operate press brake equipment for accurate bending and forming of sheet metal.
  • Use hand tools, power tools, measuring instruments, and fabrication equipment safely and effectively.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to ensure accurate fabrication and assembly.
  • Apply strong mechanical aptitude to understand component interaction and overall assembly function.
  • Follow defined assembly processes, identifying issues related to fit, function, or build quality.
  • Maintain a high level of attention to detail to ensure prototypes meet dimensional and functional requirements.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in compliance with all safety policies and procedures.
  • Collaborate with engineers and cross‑functional team members to support design iteration and problem resolution.
  • Contribute effectively as a team member, supporting shared goals and production timelines.
  • Demonstrate dependability, trustworthiness, and professionalism in all work activities.
  • Maintain a respectful and cooperative attitude toward co‑workers and supervisors.
Work Conditions
  • Extended periods of standing, and other physically demanding conditions
  • Working in manufacturing plant environment.
  • Some exposure to potentially hazourdous environments requiring protective equipment
  • Employee may be exposed to dust, odors, fumes and high levels of noise at times
  • Lifting or moving up to 50lbs may be required
  • Exposure to temperature fluctuations
