- Oversee day-to-day financial operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger management.
- Lead financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial modeling to support strategic objectives.
- Prepare and present accurate and timely financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, to senior management.
- Manage cash flow, working capital, and capital expenditure planning to ensure financial stability and scalability.
- Review and analyze product costs, subcontractor expenses, overhead allocations, and COGS to ensure cost control and margin optimization.
- Monitor financial performance against budgets and forecasts, analyze variances, and provide clear explanations and actionable recommendations.
- Develop and improve financial controls, policies, and procedures to ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
- Support executive leadership with financial insights to guide business decisions, pricing strategies, and investment planning.
- Coordinate and manage external audits, tax filings, and government reporting requirements.
- Ensure compliance with Canadian accounting standards and applicable regulatory frameworks.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineering, operations, supply chain, and sales to align financial planning with operational goals.
- Lead process improvements and automation initiatives to enhance financial efficiency, accuracy, and scalability.
- Mentor and support accounting staff as the finance function grows.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 5+ years of progressive experience in accounting or financial management roles.
- Experience in manufacturing, hi-tech, or electronics industry preferred.
- Strong knowledge of financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and cost accounting.
- Proficiency in accounting and ERP systems with hands-on experience in Microsoft Business Central or Microsoft Dynamics is required.
- Professional accounting designation (CPA) strongly preferred.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and strategic thinking skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present financial information clearly to non-financial stakeholders.
- High level of integrity and professionalism with the ability to handle confidential financial information.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience with financial modeling and scenario analysis is an asset.

- Annual Salary Range: $100,000.00 CAD to $125,000.00 CAD
