The University of Prince Edward Island, Faculty of Sustainable Design Engineering, has openings for a sessional instructor for the Fall 2026 semester. This position is subject to final budgetary approval.Please note: the course offered below will be taught in person, unless otherwise specified as an online course.ENGN 1410 - Sustainability in Engineering DesignThis course introduces the principles of sustainability in engineering design as they relate to the interactions among humans, living systems, the natural environment and the engineered world. Physical, chemical, biological, ecological, social, economic and life-cycle concepts, and their relevance to sustainable engineering design, are emphasized. 3 hours of lecture and 3 hours of lab per weekThis appointment is for 2 lab sections.Qualifications:Qualified individuals must have a Bachelor's Degree in a relevant engineering discipline. A Master's Degree in a relevant engineering discipline, or an equivalent combination of qualifications and experience, would be considered a strong asset. Professional engineering experience is expected and will be an important consideration in the selection process.
