Base Rate: $180,000 - $200,000
Schedule: Full-time; 12-hour shifts, 14 days on - 14 days off

We are committed to taking care of customers throughout Canada, providing 24/7 service, 365 days a year.Duties and Responsibilities:
- Lead, train and mentor mobile equipment crews to meet operational and project milestones.
- Oversee the safe operation, maintenance, and performance of heavy mining and construction equipment.
- Actively participate and lead in the organization’s safety program, model appropriate safety behaviours, and report on safety requirements.
- Ensure team members follow safety standards, safe work practices, and regulatory requirements, and that documentation is submitted to the appropriate departments as required.
- Provide leadership in team building, planning, and establishing clear, measurable goals focused on safety, results, and customer satisfaction.
- Arrange training for team members, review work performance, and address performance issues at the primary stage, utilizing HR, HS, and Operations Managers when required.
- Ensure compliance with safety and relevant certification requirements, and provide copies of all training and certifications to onboarding@bcer.ca for tracking in the employee's file.
- Performance management and measurement, using the progressive discipline and review programs and processes, are required.
- Manage the execution of scheduled, unscheduled, and breakdown work plans.
- Work closely with the maintenance planning department to ensure work aligns with established processes and is delivered in an executable weekly plan.
- Work closely with client teams to build trusting customer relations.
- Manage an annual budget, ensuring accurate cost tracking and alignment with asset health and operational goals.
- Collaborate with vendors (i.e. Komatsu, Federal, Caterpillar, etc.) to optimize equipment performance and resolve issues efficiently.
- Provide analysis of department performance metrics, identify gaps, and implement solutions to enhance productivity and quality.
- Collaborate with the fleet manager on scheduling, parts, tooling and logistics to help maintain service truck availability.
- Working in conjunction with the Operations Managers to schedule vacation coverage with minimal impact on client needs.
- Other duties may be required, including roles as needed for vacation coverage.
- 10+ years of leadership experience in supervisory and maintenance roles are required.
- Strong technical knowledge of heavy mining and construction equipment is required.
- Demonstrated ability to enforce safety standards and lead safety-focused initiatives.
- Experience working with maintenance planning and execution systems is an asset.
- Computer literacy with proficiency in MS Office, SAP, and similar systems.
- Journeyman Red Seal Off-Road Equipment Certification required.
- Proven ability to mentor and develop team members, fostering a high-performing workforce.
- Be proficient in English, both verbal and written.
- Have a valid Class 5 Driver’s License.
- Be legally able to work in Canada.
- Provide a minimum of 2 direct supervisor references.
- Pass a Criminal Record check.
- Provide a clean 5-year driver’s abstract.
- Pass an 8-panel drug test (including marijuana) and an alcohol breath test.
- Not seeking sub-contractor roles (we are not offering subcontractor opportunities at this time).
