Salary: $80,000 – $95,000 + Bonus + Benefits
Location: Brantford, ONWe are working with a growing ICI general contractor delivering projects ranging from $5M to $12M across commercial and institutional sectors. With a strong pipeline of design-build work, they are looking to bring on an Estimator who can operate with a high level of autonomy and support the full pre-construction process.This role is best suited for someone coming from a smaller to mid-sized contractor who is comfortable wearing multiple hats and working with limited internal support.ResponsibilitiesYou will be involved across the full estimating lifecycle, including:
- Preparing cost estimates for ICI projects ranging from $5M to $12M
- Reviewing drawings, specifications, and concept plans to develop accurate budgets
- Supporting design-build pursuits by pricing off conceptual drawings and early-stage designs
- Soliciting and analyzing subcontractor and supplier pricing
- Assisting in the development and refinement of project budgets leading up to closing
- Working closely with internal stakeholders to ensure scope coverage and cost alignment
- Participating in value engineering and cost optimization discussions
- Maintaining pricing databases and historical cost information
- 3–7+ years of estimating experience within ICI construction
- Experience working on projects in the $5M–$15M range (ideal)
- Exposure to design-build projects and conceptual estimating is highly preferred
- Comfortable working in a lean team environment without junior estimator support
- Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and project sequencing
- Ability to interpret drawings and develop budgets from incomplete information
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Someone not overly corporate or specialized — hands-on, adaptable, and practical
- Comfortable taking ownership and stepping into multiple aspects of pre-construction
- Experience with smaller to mid-sized GCs is a strong asset
- A team player who can collaborate closely but also work independently
- Salary: $80K – $95K (based on experience)
