- Driving technical innovation to improve AMD’s capabilities across product development and validation, including tool and script development, technical and procedural methodology enhancement
- Responsible for leading projects within the ASIC (Application-Specific Integrated Circuit) development lifecycle
- Apply and explore the use of AI in various initiatives and efficiency improvements
- Lead FW initiatives that span across various components from security to power/performance.
- Drive debug strategies that involve a deep understanding of the various stages of a product life cycle
- Make connections between device physics properties to power/performance discrepancies or timing sensitives leading to high MTBF
- Prior years of relevant experience in the semiconductor industry
- Experience with data extraction, manipulation and visualization, using Statistical tools such as correlation, predictive modeling, contrast analysis, Machine Learning, etc.
- Understanding in applied Device Physics, Computer Architecture, Digital or Analog Design
- Experience in Wafer and FT/SLT test methodology including fab process knowledge.
- Experience with developing and debugging system software or firmware for embedded systems.
- Excellent knowledge of C or C++ and Python/Perl.
- Extensive experience in power/performance optimization and tradeoffs.
- Strong analytical thinker and pronounced attention to details.
- BS/MS Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or comparable disciplines
