Account Director - Marketing, New Business and Agency Operations

- Lead integrated team and be the key day-to-day oversight and driver of various elements including social content, CRM, website content, thought leadership, media announcements and industry awards
- Lead planning and execution of our major IP launch, the Canadian Edelman Trust Barometer
- Support execution of additional sector-specific offering launches,events and webinars through the year
- Key point of contact and integration with Global Marketing
- National New Business (20%)
- Ongoing evolution and refinement of new business processes to drive efficiencies and results
- Support building of pipeline of opportunities through uncovering networking opportunities and speaking engagements for Edelman Canada's leaders
- Leadership and oversight of tracking and measurement of new business efforts
- Connection point with global/regional new business leaders
- National Agency Operations (30%)
- Key point of contact and knowledge manager of a number of internalofferings and agency differentiators, including our iQ (Impact through Quality) program and Right from the Start client onboarding approach
- Internal communications support, including monthly Town Hall planning and other all staff meetings and initiatives, as well as cascade of internal announcements
- Development and management of roll out of special projects/new initiatives related to the agency's operations
- Ongoing identification of opportunities to streamline processes that enhance operational efficiency and drive innovation
- Work with General Managers and local admin teams to support with facilities-related operational items
- Support with operations and leadership of national administrative team
- Management of direct reports, supporting their growth and development
- Western Canada Business Development (20%)
- Work closely with Edelman Vancouver and Edelman Calgary General Managers to develop market-specific new business plans, identifying local marketing and networking opportunities
- Own execution of local marketing, pipelining and business development efforts
- Process-driven while also being a strong communicator; this role will have regular interaction with senior leaders within the business
- A strategic thinker and problem solver
- Familiar with life at an agency and how that shapes the way we communicate with our audiences - both internal and external
- Experienced in new business, with proven results
- Detail-oriented and process-driven
- Understands how to build and run an integrated corporate marketing program to build brand reputation and attract new clients
- Comfortable working both individually and with a team, is proactive and able to drive projects forward autonomously
- Has 8+ years of experience in increasingly senior roles, ideally within a communications, advertising or other agency or professional services setting
