The Greenstone Mine commenced production in May 2024 and will be one of Canada's largest open-pit gold mines, with annual production expected to average nearly 400,000 ounces of gold per year for an initial 14-year mine life with additional potential from a large underground deposit. Greenstone Gold Mines LP is owned by Equinox Gold Corp, a Vancouver-based mining company with five operating mines in Canada, the United States, Mexico and Nicaragua.Job SummaryWe are seeking a Mill Maintenance Tool Crib Attendant to join our team. Reporting to the Mill Maintenance Supervisors, the Tool Crib Attendant is responsible for maintaining the Tool Crib inventory and distributing supplies to the Mill Maintenance Team.Key Responsibilities
  • Issue tools as required.
  • Maintain an accurate record of tools being taken and returned.
  • Identify broken tools and repair them or arrange for repairs.
  • Replace missing tools.
  • Return parts and tooling in their proper locations.
  • Ensure tool crib and parts room is clean and organized.
  • Maintain an adequate quantity of shop consumables regularly used by the maintenance team.
  • Inspect and maintain rigging and other safety equipment used by the maintenance team.
Required Experience and Skill Set
  • Basic to intermediate mechanical aptitude is highly desirable for this role.
  • Experience with parts manuals and identifying components and parts is an asset.
  • Prior experience in an industrial setting — mine site experience is an asset.
  • Experience with parts manuals and identifying components and parts to repair and replace tools is an asset but not necessary.

  • This position is based in Geraldton, Ontario.
  • Self-motivated and safety-conscious.
Certifications
  • Valid driver's license.
