- Develop and implement effective sales strategies and action plans to achieve assigned revenue, profit, and market share targets for Siemens' electrical products (e.g., circuit breakers, switchgear, control products, distribution systems).
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities, market segments, and strategic accounts in Western Canada.
- Contribute to the annual sales planning and forecasting processes, providing accurate and timely projections.
- Drive the adoption and promotion of Siemens' innovative electrical product solutions to meet customer needs.
- Lead, coach, mentor, and motivate a team of sales representatives, fostering a high-performance, collaborative, and results-driven culture.
- Conduct regular performance reviews and provide constructive feedback to support individual growth and skill development.
- Monitor individual and team sales performance against key performance indicators (KPIs), targets, and budgets.
- Analyze sales data, market trends, and competitor activities to identify strengths, weaknesses, and opportunities for improvement.
- Implement corrective actions and develop strategies to address performance gaps and ensure target achievement.
- Ensure accurate and timely reporting of sales activities, pipeline status, and forecasts using Siemens' designated CRM system (e.g., Salesforce).
- Act as an escalation point for complex customer inquiries, technical challenges, or significant sales negotiations.
- Promote Siemens' value proposition and build long-term, strategic partnerships with key contractors, distributors, and channel partners.
- Maintain an in-depth understanding of Siemens' electrical products portfolio, including technical specifications, applications, and competitive advantages.
- Stay current with industry trends, regulatory changes, and competitor offerings within the Canadian electrical market.
- Provide valuable market feedback to product management, marketing, and R&D teams to influence future product development and strategy.
- Foster strong collaboration with internal Siemens departments, including Marketing, Product Management, Engineering, Customer Service, Logistics, and Finance, to ensure seamless operations and comprehensive customer support.
- Effectively communicate Siemens' corporate objectives, sales strategies, and product updates to the sales team.
- Participate actively in regional and national sales meetings, workshops, and industry events.
- Ensure all sales activities and team operations comply with Siemens' stringent business conduct guidelines, policies, and local Canadian regulations (e.g., anti-corruption, data privacy, competition law).
- Promote a culture of integrity, transparency, and ethical behavior within the sales team.
- Technical degree in electronics and /or electrical engineering OR 10 + years of work experience in the electrical distribution industry
- Sales experience is a strong asset
- Customer Relationship Management skills
- Experience with CRM such as Salesforce.com
- Proficient with the Office Suite
- Successfully apply complex knowledge of fundamental concepts, practices, and procedures of electrical distribution.
- Project and Process Thinking within clear but substantially diversified procedures and precedents covering many situations
- Ability to provide general guidance or train support and/or professional staff
- Ability to travel 30-50% of the time across Western Canada
