  • Partner with our People team to provide day-to-day advice on a range of employment issues including recruiting, hiring, performance management, compensation and benefits, leaves of absence, internal investigations, working time, employee data privacy, and HR best practices;
  • Proactively review employment policies to ensure legal compliance and consistency with best practices;
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support and maintain employment compliance;
  • Support cross-functional stakeholders on a range of strategic global projects.

  • 10+ years of employment law experience at a leading law firm and/or in-house legal department, with demonstrated employment counseling experience (in-house experience is preferred, but not required);
  • A proven ability to exercise sound judgment in balancing legal risks and business needs;
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written;
  • Strong organization and project management skills with the ability to work well on both long and short-term projects.
  • An exceptional work ethic with a proven ability to deliver results;
  • A team player who is willing to pitch in where needed in a fast-paced, growing company;
  • decisive, with excellent judgment, and capable of making smart decisions in the face of ambiguity and imperfect information;
  • Adept at working with multiple stakeholders while maintaining strict discretion, confidentiality, and professionalism; and

Location - Applicants in the US and Canada will be considered.Working remotely at StripeA remote location is defined as being 35 miles (56 kilometers) or more from one of our offices. While you would be welcome to come into the office for team/business meetings, on-sites, meet-ups, and events, our expectation is you would regularly work from home rather than a Stripe office. Stripe does not cover the cost of relocating to a remote location. We encourage you to apply for roles that match the location where you currently or plan to live.Pay and benefitsThe annual US base salary range for this role is $209,400 - $314,200. For sales roles, the range provided is the role's On Target Earnings ("OTE") range, meaning that the range includes both the sales commissions/sales bonuses target and annual base salary for the role. This salary range may be inclusive of several career levels at Stripe and will be narrowed during the interview process based on a number of factors, including the candidate's experience, qualifications, and location.
