- Build new Infrastructure as Code solutions as required
- Actively seek to raise the knowledge bar amongst your Vancity colleagues through casual & ongoing guidance and assistance to your lesser knowledgeable colleagues.
- Make sense of data through query development, dashboard building & report generation.
- Monitor & implement IT work orders & incident tickets, action any items within a timely manner as to not breach defined SLA’s
- Effectively learn & use Vancity’s chosen project management tooling (Azure DevOps)
- At all times, work within the boundaries of existing Vancity processes (such as change management)
- In depth knowledge & understanding of the Well Architected Framework principles & methodologies
- High quality documentation of your work to contribute to the Vancity knowledgebase
- Participate in an on-call rotation to ensure Vancity retains support 24/7/365
- At all times work with a “security first” mindset
- 5+ years of software development and/or production operations experience
- Advanced systems level of understanding of Windows/Linux
- Fundamental network skills
- Web knowledge (HTTP)
- Experience with monitoring and alerting tools (Grafana/Splunk)
- Experience with 24x7 production support and troubleshooting
- Experience with automating builds and releases (CI,CD), configuration management and infrastructure as code
- Scripting with PowerShell, Terraform
- Experience with VCS (GIT)
- Experience with VPC either in Azure (preferred), AWS, GCP
- Experience with databases (SQL/MySQL)
- Experience with build and release tools (Azure DevOps)
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform)
- Experience with microservices and modern container orchestration
