- Managing and coordinating environmental due diligence and compliance reviews/auditing projects for industrial, private equity, and legal clients.
- Developing proposals and cost estimates for transactional due diligence and compliance projects and managing project budgets and Client deliverables.
- Liaising with subject matter experts regarding other services, such as health & safety auditing, climate risk, ESG, and PFAS.
- Leading and mentoring a dynamic group of junior and intermediate staff.
- Conducting independent technical analyses and directing technical analyses of others.
- Independently preparing draft work products and reviewing/editing work products of others.
- Serving as a trusted advisor to clients, guiding them through various regulatory and compliance landscapes to assist in reducing environmental risk, achieve compliance, and embedding best practices into their operations.
- Managing national and global projects, ensuring safety, efficiency, and excellence.
- Delivering training, in-field coaching, and impactful presentations.
- Building and maintaining strong client relationships, driving repeat business and long-term partnerships.
- Collaborating across Ramboll’s global network to share best practices and innovative solutions.
- Bachelor’s degree in environmental science, environmental engineering, or related field. Master's degree preferred.
- 12+ years of EHS experience in consulting or industry, ideally with exposure across Canada.
- Registered as a Certified Lead Auditor in Canada (preferred but not essential).
- Strong understanding of Canadian EHS regulatory requirements, including Quebec.
- Strong understanding of, and experience conducting, Phase I environmental site assessments (ESAs) meeting the requirements of the CSA Standard (CSA Z768-01 [R2022]), various provincial regulatory driven Phase I ESAs and the ASTM Phase I ESA Standard (ASTM E1527-21).
- Experience providing transactional due diligence services to support the acquisition/divestiture of industrial businesses, providing strategic advice to clients related to the contemplated transaction; and conducting and leading EHS auditing compliance services to industrial clients.
- Exceptional communication skills—able to engage senior leaders and frontline teams alike.
- Willingness to travel, Driver's License Required: This position requires a valid driver's license due to the nature of job requirements, which will include occasional travel to various client locations across Canada.
- Working knowledge of the French language preferred but not essential.
