Senior Financial Reporting Analyst ConsultantOur Calgary-based client is seeking an experienced Senior Financial Reporting Analyst to join their team on a 12 to 14-month contract. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing external financial reports, providing analytical and technical accounting support, and maintaining internal accounting policies and procedures.Your success will be defined by your ability to:
  • Prepares quarterly and annual financial statements with supporting documentation under U.S. GAAP.
  • Consolidates financial information for parent company reporting under IFRS.
  • Maintains monthly, quarterly, and ad hoc accounting entries.
  • Produces internal and external financial reports with accompanying analysis.
  • Analyzes financial performance against budget, forecast, and prior periods.
  • Conducts technical accounting research and advises on complex transactions.
  • Ensures compliance with internal controls and risk documentation.
  • Supports external audits with required documentation and explanations.
Your strengths include:
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field
  • CPA designation is required, with 3-5 years post graduation experience
  • Experience of preparing financial statements and handling dual currency transactions and consolidations would be advantageous.
  • Working knowledge of U.S. GAAP & IFRS would be an asset.
