- Directs daily operations management.
- Provides strategic planning and direction to the operations staff.
- Shared responsibility for scheduling, performance evaluation, and staffing responsibilities for the facility's management staff.
- Ensuring compliance of all company procedures and policies.
- Ensuring compliance of local, provincial and federal laws and regulations.
- Ensuring services are provided within budget, and action plans are developed and implemented to improve operational efficiencies.
- Maintaining company and contractual assets (vehicles, facilities, inventories, tools, and equipment).
- Assessing resource needs, problems, trends and plans accordingly.
- Developing action plans to ensure customer retention.
- Assuring a safe working environment.
- Providing and promoting effective communications with customers.
- Establishing training goals and requirements for all personnel.
- Satisfying client, corporate, and contractual reporting requirements and needs.
- Other duties as required.
- Competitive annual salary ranging from $67,500 to $74,500.

- Minimum 5 years of supervisory or management experience.
- Operations management experience working in the transportation or customer service industry, preferred.
- Experience managing union and non-union employees.
- Relationship-building skills in a unionized environment.
- Strong understanding of legal and regulatory compliance.
- Thorough knowledge of the methods of operation of the transit system’s staff and operational departments.
- Knowledge of relevant federal and state employment laws, ordinances, and regulations underlying the transit operation.
- Demonstrated leadership and ability to work independently.
- Shows initiative and creative thinking.

- This is a full-time, on-site position located in Vernon, BC.
- Work environment will be a combination of both indoors and outdoors.
- About 10% of travel requirement outside of immediate area.
- There is a requirement to work shifts or flexible work schedules as needed.
- Occasional evening and weekend work may be required, based on operational needs.
