- Provide comprehensive legal advice to clients on corporate and commercial matters.
- Structure, negotiate, and finalize various transactions, including mergers, acquisitions, private equity deals, and corporate reorganizations.
- Draft and review contracts and other legal documents to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Manage multiple client files independently, maintaining a high level of organization and attention to detail.
- Collaborate with clients to develop tailored legal solutions that address their business needs.
- Conduct thorough legal research to support case strategies and transactional decisions.
- Utilize case management and document management software to streamline operations and maintain accurate records.
- Participate in negotiations to achieve favourable outcomes for clients.
- Mentor entry level staff and contribute to the overall growth of the legal team.
- Identify opportunities for partnership and business development within the firm.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in corporate/commercial law.
- Advanced skills in legal analysis, negotiation, and communication.
- Proven ability to manage complex transactions, including mergers and acquisitions.
- Proficiency in legal software tools such as case management systems and document management platforms.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple files simultaneously.
- Experience drafting contracts and legal documentation with exceptional attention to detail.
- Active book of business preferred but not mandatory.
- Capability to work autonomously while maintaining a collaborative approach within the team.
