This is an opportunity to work closely with the QNX Services Engineering Team in Ottawa, supporting major automotive companies.Location: Ottawa, ONLength of Term: 4/8 MonthsResponsibilities
  • Collaborate with Systems Engineers to develop and maintain internal tools and utilities.
  • Design and implement software pipelines and automation scripts to support engineering workflows.
  • Contribute to full-stack development projects using modern frameworks such as React and Laravel.
  • Assist in the development of dashboards and web interfaces for internal use.
  • Support DevOps initiatives including CI/CD pipeline improvements and infrastructure automation.
  • Work closely with the Technical Project Management and Engineering Services teams to identify and solve tooling challenges.
Skills and Qualifications
  • Strong foundation in programming fundamentals.
  • Experience with Python and/or Java, and/or PHP, and/or scripting languages.
  • Familiarity with REST APIs, web frameworks (e.g., React, Laravel), and development tools.
  • Exposure to DevOps practices and tools (e.g., Docker, GitHub Actions, Jenkins).
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Comfortable working across different operating systems and using the command line.
  • Ability to learn new technologies and adapt quickly.
Additional Asset
  • Experience participating in hackathons.
  • Ability to work independently and take initiative.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
