Toronto, Ontario, Canada | Full-Time, Permanent | HybridSalary: $100,000 - $140,000 per year + Full BenefitsAbout the RoleThe Manager - Restructuring & Insolvency will lead and support advisory engagements for clients facing financial challenges. This role involves working directly with lenders, creditors, debtors, and other stakeholders to provide restructuring and recovery solutions that preserve value, maximize recoveries, and stabilize distressed operations. The role combines hands-on financial analysis with leadership accountability, client engagement, and strategic advisory work.Leadership & Operations
- Lead and collaborate with teams on restructuring and insolvency engagements
- Take possession of debtor premises, manage asset realization, and oversee inventorying activities
- Prepare, review, and analyze written correspondence, reports, and financial models including sensitivity analysis and “what if” scenarios
- Attend marketing activities, develop relationships with prospective clients, and support business development initiatives
- Manage engagement administration and project deliverables while ensuring timely completion
- Communicate with creditors, clients, and stakeholders, including lawyers and lenders, to facilitate recovery and restructuring efforts
- Analyze financial data and accounting records to assess financial viability and develop strategic solutions
- Interact with business owners to provide options for addressing financial challenges
- Contribute to preparation of presentation and proposal materials for client engagements
- Support ongoing learning within the restructuring and insolvency practice
- Mentor junior staff and foster knowledge-sharing across the team
- CPA designation preferred; Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Minimum of 3 years' experience in public accounting and advisory services
- Manager-level experience in Assurance, Audit, M&A, Tax, or related fields
- Experience in corporate restructuring and insolvency is preferred but not required
- Strong financial modeling skills and ability to interpret complex data
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Entrepreneurial mindset with strong client relationship instincts
- Able to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic team environment
- Willingness and ability to travel within and outside the GTA (valid driver's license and vehicle required)
