Key Responsibilities
- Greet all guests in a timely manner as they approach the bar and deliver exemplary customer service.
- Educating customers on our menu options.
- Maintain a watch for underage patrons by checking the identification of customers to ensure they meet alcohol legal age requirements.
- Mix ingredients to prepare cocktails and other drinks. Serve wine, beer and other alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages.
- Ensure accurate portion control and keep accurate accounts and spoilage records.
- Maintain stock and inventory of the bar, completing relevant logs in a timely manner.
- Take orders from guests and pour wine tableside.
- Must be able to develop strong cashier skills - handling credit cards and payment in a safe and accurate manner in coordination with the POYNT POS system.
- Ensure cleanliness and a pleasant atmosphere of the bar area.
- Maintain bar supplies and replenish bar with equipment, garnishes, drink items, glassware, napkins etc…
- Ensure cleanliness of the bar storage area, ensure everything is wiped down and put away properly.
- Set and clear tables as directed in reception space.
- Diplomatically handle guest complaints in a polite and maintain a professional manner.
- Maintain a positive attitude in high stress, fast paced environments.
- Maintain daily side work.
- May be required to train other employees, educating them on menu knowledge and other aspects of the role.
- Know and comply with all ARAMARK and client policies and procedures regarding safety, security, and emergencies.
- Must be flexible and willing to work a varied schedule.
- Must be able to lift up to 35 pounds and stand for an extended period of time.
- Incumbent will adhere to the collective agreements in effect
- Smart Serve Certification is required.
- Ability to frequently move about a large facility, which could span several hundred thousand feet, to perform work responsibilities
- Ability to constantly handle, lift, and operate bar equipment and inventory.
- Ability to constantly identify hazardous situations in the workplace.
- Ability to frequently handle objects weighing 35lbs or less
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work cohesively as part of a team
- Ability to focus attention on guest needs, and remaining, calm and courteous
- Ability to constantly work irregular hours, nights, weekends, and holidays
