As an Experienced Environmental Scientist specializing in contaminated sites, you will apply scientific rigor and practical field insight to help clients restore land, protect communities, and advance sustainable solutions nationwide.Your Impact
- Lead and support contaminated site investigations and remediations including Phase I & II Environmental Site Assessments, Stage 2 Preliminary Site Investigations, Detailed Site Investigations, drilling programs, monitoring well installation, sampling events and remedial programs.
- Deliver technically sound analysis of soil, groundwater, vapour, and sediment data to inform environmental and risk-based decisions.
- Prepare clear, defensible technical reports, conceptual site models, and remediation recommendations.
- Support remediation planning through evaluation of alternative remedial approaches, including risk management, following BC CSR and federal guidance.
- Coordinate field teams and subcontractors with a strong focus on safety, accuracy, and efficiency.
- Collaborate with teams across Environmental Management including hydrogeologists, environmental engineers, and risk assessors, and across other WSP disciplines to deliver integrated client solutions.
- Contribute to proposal generation, budget tracking, and project execution excellence.
- Approximately 5 years of relevant, hands-on experience in contaminated sites assessment and remediation.
- Strong familiarity with provincial and federal frameworks (e.g., BC CSR, CCME, FCSAP) and industry best practices.
- Demonstrated field capability across diverse site conditions and program scales while meeting all safety requirements.
- Experience with contaminated media assessment including soil, groundwater, sediment, and vapor intrusion pathways including the ability to interpret analytical data and convert findings into actionable, client-ready deliverables.
- Experience contributing to multiple concurrent projects in a fast-paced consulting environment.
- Eligibility for a professional designation (P.Geo., P.Eng., RPBio, PAg).
- Strong problem-solving mindset and a commitment to scientific integrity.
