Our experts work together to offer our clients services that live up to our vision: to meet the highest standards in the industry and innovate to exceed them.To meet our growth challenges, WSP is currently seeking an Electrical Engineer in Training to join our team located in our Calgary, AB office.As part of our growing Process and Energy Electrical group, you will report to the Manager of Design Services and working closely with our Senior Engineering Team to support on various projects from traditional Gas Compression, Gas processing, emerging energy transition projects as well as food services projects.Be involved in projects with our Energy & Process division and be a part of a growing organization that meets our client's objectives and solves their challenges!Why choose WSP?

  • You will support our Electrical Engineering Team, we are looking for a self-motivated team member to help assist with a project
  • You will assist in the review of Electrical designs and drawings
  • You will assist in providing technical advice to clients and project teams (consultants and contractors)
  • You will assist in ARC Flash and Coordination studies
  • You will assist in Harmonic Studies
  • You will manage multiple priorities
  • You will make contributions to company knowledge management and practice systems
  • You will learn and excel through daily project work
  • You will perform other duties as assigned/required
What you'll bring to WSP:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering
  • 1+ years previous experience in a related field ideally within the consulting environment; coop and internship experience welcome!
  • Previous experience working on Heavy Industrial projects; experience with Oil and Gas projects an asset
  • Working towards P.Eng designation through APEGA
  • Ability to travel to project sites as needed
