Working closely with our proposals team and various client groups, you will actively participate in the preparation of competitive bids and in the overall success of projects, while helping build and restore sustainable, safe, and essential infrastructure for our communities.This is a permanent, full-time position located at 500 Saint-Jacques Street, Suite 300, Montréal, QC, H2Y 1S1, Canada.

- Collaborate with clients and multidisciplinary engineering teams to determine project requirements and objectives.
- Analyze plans, specifications, and contract documents (including drawings, addenda, and conditions) to fully understand the project's scope and complexity.
- Plan and design civil project components, ensuring the integration of technical disciplines and the identification of unique project elements.
- Develop and interpret construction specifications and engineering procedures, ensuring alignment with project objectives and regulatory requirements.
- Perform calculations related to load capacities, material strength, structural considerations, and other technical constraints.
- Research and recommend appropriate construction materials, taking into account technical constraints and load-bearing capacities.
- Conduct field services and site visits for civil works to ensure construction plans comply with guidelines, building codes, and other regulations.
- Conduct research and participate in site visits to collect data, assess project feasibility, and confirm compliance with safety standards.
- Support designs, calculations, and technical documents prepared by team members, ensuring compliance with engineering principles and applicable codes.
- Prepare technical reports and provide the procurement team with the information needed for cost estimation and purchasing.
- Measure and evaluate material quantities using the company's advanced tools (2D/3D takeoffs) and prepare detailed quantity reports.
- Prepare detailed quantity takeoffs and supporting documentation in accordance with engineering drawings and project specifications.
- Assess constructability, identify atypical elements, and visualize the complexity of civil works to support project planning.
- Estimate technical schedules for project execution and contribute to the development and tracking of construction timelines.
- Prepare and review contract documents and tender packages, ensuring technical and contractual compliance.
- Review and verify the compliance of bids, plans, and specifications received with technical and contractual requirements.
- Analyze addenda issued during the tender period, confirming that all changes meet engineering and regulatory standards.
- Conduct project-specific price research for materials or subcontracted scopes based on engineering analysis.
- Distribute tender documentation to subcontractors and oversee their participation, ensuring technical alignment with project expectations.
- Receive, analyze, and evaluate subcontractor and supplier pricing, validating their compliance with quantities and engineering specifications.
- Provide the procurement department with technical advice to support sourcing, evaluation, and price analysis.
- Stay up to date on new technologies, construction methods, engineering tools, and environmental regulations related to civil infrastructure.
- A bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management, or a related field.
- Proven experience in project coordination and collaboration with teams.
- Demonstrated ability to build relationships with project and industry stakeholders.
- In-depth understanding of the bidding and tendering process.
- Strong research skills to identify and analyze project-specific costs.
- Expertise in quantity takeoffs to ensure accuracy in contractual specifications and pricing.
- Strong computer skills, including proficiency with estimating software.
