Job Description:Are you an experienced Senior Accountant with a proven track record of reporting, compliance, team leadership, and supporting improvements? Robert Half is seeking a talented Construction Accountant on behalf of our client located in Surrey, BC. You will be part of a company known for its long-tenured employees and collaborative culture.Key ResponsibilitiesAs Senior Accountant, your scope will include but is not limited to:
  • Manage monthly closings, intercompany transactions, tax compliance, and financial statement preparations.
  • Lead a team of 3+ direct reports and providing guidance & mentorship.
  • Prepare and oversee financial statements for period end to ensure compliance.
  • Manage the external and internal audit processes to ensure timely and accurate deliverables.
  • Assisting with preparation of annual budgets and rolling forecasts in alignment with organizational goals & support branch leads with the process.
  • Provide treasury support to ensure liquidity and prudent financial management.
  • Deliver financial analysis and modeling for operations teams and projects, leveraging FP& A expertise.
  • Project accounting cycle including tracking progress, variance, billings and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
Requirements:Qualifications & Experience
  • CPA designation with a minimum of 3 years post-certification experience.
  • At least 3 years of hands-on experience managing team members.
  • Solid background in senior accounting roles within mid to large organizations ideally from construction sector.
  • Solid Financial reporting expertise and FP& A experience, including consolidations, project analysis and operational support.
  • Familiarity with robust ERP systems.

  • Salary: $90,000-$110,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications.
