- Manage accounts payable and receivable processes, as well as monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closings.
- Lead internal financial reporting and group-level reporting to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
- Oversee tax-related activities with support from the group's tax resources.
- Develop and implement costing strategies, including standard and actual costing, while collaborating with operations and supply chain teams to optimize inventory management, margins, and cost efficiency.
- Monitor and analyze profit and loss statements as well as balance sheets.
- Partner with HR, operations, supply chain, and sales teams to align financial processes with organizational goals.
- Establish robust internal controls and ensure the organization is prepared for audits.
- Support automation initiatives to streamline manual financial processes.
- Manage intercompany transactions and reconciliations between Canadian, U.S., and European entities.
- Ensure compliance with U.S. regulatory requirements and internal policies.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting or financial management roles.
- Proficiency in overseeing accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and financial closings.
- Strong knowledge of budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting processes.
- Expertise in cost accounting and the ability to collaborate on inventory management and cost optimization.
- Proven ability to analyze and interpret profit and loss statements and balance sheets.
- Experience in driving internal controls and audit readiness.
- Familiarity with managing intercompany transactions and reconciliations.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
