Employment Type: Full-TimeSalary: 120,000 – 140,000K + Benefits, Bonus & PensionOur client, one of Western Canada’s leading HVAC & Equipment distributors, is seeking a collaborative and hands-on Controller to lead the finance function. This role oversees accounting, treasury, financial reporting, budgeting, and internal controls while partnering closely with leadership and branch teams to support business objectives.Key Responsibilities:
- Lead monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes
- Prepare accurate financial statements and management reports
- Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management
- Manage bank compliance reporting and tax remittances
- Maintain and strengthen internal controls
- Lead the annual budget process and physical inventory
- Drive process improvements and develop departmental KPIs
- Mentor and lead the Finance Team
- Liaise with external auditors and senior leadership
- Professional Accounting Designation required: CPA (CA, CGA, CMA)
- 7+ years of progressive accounting experience (distribution or multi-branch environment preferred)
- Strong knowledge of GAAP, budgeting, and treasury management
- Supervisory experience with a collaborative leadership style
- Advanced Excel skills
- Experience with Epicor Prophet 21 (P21) and Concur preferred
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
