We are seeking an experienced IBM Sterling File Gateway (SFG) / Managed File Transfer (MFT) Engineer responsible for supporting, maintaining, and enhancing enterprise file transfer operations.
The role requires hands-on expertise with Sterling components, strong Unix/Linux skills, and the ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex incidents in mission-critical environments.Key Responsibilities
Create and update Trading Partners, routing rules, service configurations, adapters, and business processes (BPs).
Support deployment activities including code changes, map updates, and BP modifications.
Monitor Sterling file transfer flows, message queues, BP executions, system health, and overall platform availability.
Perform root cause analysis (RCA) and resolve incidents within established SLA timelines.
Handle escalated incidents with a focus on accuracy, urgency, and long-term remediation.
Manage encryption and security configurations including PGP, SSL, and SSH.
Provide Level 2 support for IBM Sterling File Gateway and related MFT ecosystem components.
Support production environments on a 24/7 rotational on-call schedule.
Collaborate with infrastructure, application, and security teams to ensure stable operations.
Maintain comprehensive technical documentation and operational procedures.
Participate in change management processes using ServiceNow.Required Skills & Experience
Hands-on experience with:
IBM Sterling File Gateway (SFG)
B2B Integrator (SI)
CCM, SSP-CM, SEAS
Strong knowledge of file transfer protocols:
FTP, SFTP, FTPS, HTTPS, AS2
Proficiency in Unix/Linux environments including shell scripting and troubleshooting.
Experience using Dynatrace for monitoring, alerting, and log analysis.
Exposure to container platforms (e.g., OpenShift) is a plus.
Experience with DevSecOps tools including GitHub and YAML configurationSkills: Dynatrace, Unix/Linux Basics & Commands, Digital: IBM Sterling Commerce OMSExperience Required: 8–10 yearsSkills: Category Name Required Importance Experience
