- Leading, supervising, and mentoring the yard team, including Yard Hands
- Assigning daily tasks and ensuring efficient, safe workflows
- Creating a positive and productive team culture through clear communication
- Assisting customers with material questions, estimates, and product selection
- Preparing and supplying materials for both retail customers and internal projects
- Operating loaders, skid steers, and other equipment to load, unload, and organize materials
- Maintaining a clean, organized, and safe yard environment
- Monitoring and updating inventory, verifying deliveries, and tracking materials
- Completing inventory sheets, order forms, and daily reports (handwritten and digital)
- Notifying the Yard Supervisor of challenges or material discrepancies
- Enforcing and following all safety standards and proper PPE use
- Experience managing or working in a yard or materials handling role
- Proven skill operating loaders and skid steers (required)
- Familiarity with landscaping materials and Barkman/Expocrete products (preferred)
- Strong organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills
- Great communication and leadership skills to guide a team and help customers
- Experience operating tools, loaders, and skid steers
- Valid driver’s license (Class 3 with Air Endorsement is an asset)
- Physically capable of lifting and moving materials in all types of weather
- Available for flexible scheduling, including weekend shifts during peak season
