- Undergraduate degree in science, chemistry, or engineering (post‑graduate degree considered an asset). Or equivalent experience.
- 1–2 years of relevant experience.
- Demonstrated experience with air quality or meteorological monitoring stations.
- Interest and comfort working outdoors in remote locations under varying environmental conditions.
- Genuine passion for air quality and meteorology.
- Strong mechanical skills and general understanding of electrical components for instrumentation and dataloggers.
- Commitment to safety and a good driving record.
- Strong spreadsheet and database comprehension; computer programming experience preferred.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced consulting environment, manage multiple deadlines, and travel to client facilities.

- 3+ years of relevant experience
- Post‑graduate degree in a related scientific or engineering discipline.
- Air dispersion modelling experience (CALPUFF or AERMOD).
- Understanding of air emissions, emissions reporting, and regulatory compliance processes.
- Experience supporting Environmental Assessments.
- Prior exposure to consulting environments or multi‑task project work.
- Conduct environmental monitoring for air quality and meteorology, and contributing to compliance reporting.
- Analyze air quality and meteorological data; perform QA/QC; prepare reports; assess regulatory compliance.
- Track equipment maintenance and calibration schedules; develop project‑specific standard operating procedures; research new technology.
- Install, operate, maintain, and calibrate sampling/testing instrumentation.
- Perform office‑based data collation, processing, and preparation of figures, drawings, and charts for reports.
- Ensure personal and team safety during project operations.
- Support ERM’s “Zero Accident” health and safety programs.
- Travel to remote project sites across Canada.
- Perform multiple tasks within scope, budget, and schedule expectations while ensuring high‑quality deliverables.
- Build strong working relationships with clients, ERM colleagues, and subcontractors.
- Must be comfortable with working at heights up to 10 metres on meteorological towers or aerial lifts.
- Must be able to carry 40 pound equipment 200 metres in mountainous terrain.
