Compensation: $58,000 – $87,000 CAD base pay annually plus annual short-term incentiveSnapshot of a Day-in-the-Life:
- Be an active business partner to Plant Operations providing financial information and support to Plant management for the successful operations of the Plant.
- Provide timely and accurate daily and weekly yield and labour reporting to the Plant management
- Play an integral role in the development of new product costing and the updating of current product costs to accurately reflect the manufacturing process.
- Assist in providing accurate weekly / monthly actual results and forecast of Plant performance (Plant vitals) in a timely manner.
- Support cross‑functional Plant activities to help ensure smooth and successful Plant operations.
- Participate in inventory management through posting of cycle counts, inventory dispositions, and investigation/following up on issues.
- Perform financial reporting activities (e.g. journal entries, account reconciliations, etc.)
- Assist in the preparation of Plant annual budget and forecast.
- Prepare Plant overhead reports and discuss them in a meeting. Perform periodic analysis of overhead spending and provide management with the information required to make future spending decisions.
- Assist in managing issues with suppliers and purchase orders
- On site responsibility to ensure accounting procedures adhere to Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and approved corporate policies.
- On site custodian of internal controls and responsible for quarterly control self-test submissions. Ensure that critical inventory and purchasing policies and procedures are working.
- Create and analyze ad hoc reports and models as needed to support business
- Provide coverage for other Finance team members as required
- Post-Secondary Education in a finance/business related program required.
- 2+ years of progressive finance experience in an ERP environment (SAP preferred)
- Ability to work independently.

- Advanced knowledge of MS Excel and preferably with experience in SAP
