We are looking for a Mechanical Site Superintendent to join a well-established contractor in the commercial construction industry.
Our client delivers high-quality mechanical systems across commercial, institutional, and industrial projects, including HVAC, plumbing, and piping for complex buildings.
This role is ideal for a hands-on field leader who can drive execution on-site, ensure quality, and keep projects on track.
Responsibilities
  • Lead daily on-site mechanical construction activities (HVAC, plumbing, piping)
  • Supervise foremen, trades, and subcontractors
  • Ensure work is completed per drawings, specs, and codes
  • Monitor schedule, manpower, and site productivity
  • Identify and resolve field issues and coordination challenges
  • Maintain site safety standards and conduct regular inspections
  • Coordinate with Project Managers and attend site meetings
  • Oversee material deliveries, site logistics, and equipment usage
  • Maintain basic site documentation and progress reporting
  • Support commissioning and project close-out
The Successful Candidate Has
  • 5+ years of experience in mechanical construction (Superintendent or Foreman level)
  • Proven experience leading projects through all stages of construction - from pre-construction planning to execution and close-out
  • Strong knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, and piping systems
  • Proven experience leading crews on commercial / ICI projects
  • Ability to read and interpret drawings and specifications
  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Solid understanding of construction sequencing and site coordination
  • Valid safety certifications (CSTS, WHMIS, First Aid, etc.)
  • Red Seal certification is an asset
